Checked a few items off our family’s [ Summer Bucket List ] while we were in Maple Grove today!

Central Park - 10/10 I was super impressed by this park. Its surfaces and layouts are accessible, and there’s so many cool things for all ages- natural type climbing surfaces, ropes, towers.. The SLIDES!! Did anyone else grow up with roller slides, not knowing if you’d burn your legs, pinch a finger, or in my case, chip a tooth? 🤣 This one has two short slides that are close to the ground and were much less hot than the other slides. Honestly, every surface of this park was very hot- BUT, there’s always the splash pad to cool down in! (and decent drinking fountains and seating with many tables)

Nadia Cakes - 10/10 We try to get Nadia Cakes cupcakes whenever we come to MG. We’ve yet to have a cupcake we didn’t like, and these are some of our favs. If you like cheesecake, these cheese-cupcakes are a MUST. They’re so creamy, a little less tart than many, but the crushed berries on top keep it fresh and just.. so good 🤌🏼 I’ll make a separate post about this place, because you need to see more of the beautiful interior!

Elm Creek Nature Preserve Park - 9/10 This is one of my tried and true parks for kids of all ages. There’s zip lines, climbing structures of all sizes, cool elements, and bold colors. I would say that the hills and areas with sand and wood chips makes this park much less accessible and less friendly to new walkers, BUT it’s a good workout, lol. There are drinking fountains and picnic tables here as well, though the drinking fountain did remind me of drinking out of the garden hose as a child, haha.

Now that the babes are getting a little bigger, we’ve been enjoying exploring new places. Any suggestions of cool places in MN to add to our #summerbucketlist?
