In need of a warm and hearty meal when it’s raining? ☔️ Or perhaps you’ve just had a massive night of partying/clubbing and you’re in need of a good bowl of porridge? 🥳

Teochew porridge is the classic comfort food for many of such occasions. Which is why, I’d like to review the famous Heng Leong Teochew Porridge @ Upper Serangoon Road!

❤️What I loved about the place❤️

1. FOOD 🥘

- I loved the variety of food this place offered! The highlight of eating Teochew porridge is ordering pretty much as many dishes as you like! They come in relatively small portions, so you can really pick and choose the dishes you want to eat with your plain porridge! They serve different types of meat, vegetables and even eggs 🍳 We decided to try the 3 in 1 egg dish where they served up century egg x salted egg x steamed egg! I must say, it went really well with the porridge!

2. PRICE 🤑

- I don’t think this is the cheapest Teochew porridge restaurant but I do think that the price of food here is pretty reasonable and adorable!! You can select the dishes and the size for them, so it really depends on whether you’re eating solo or going with a big group. Love that they really cater for a wide range of group types!! Of course, if you’re planning to keep to a strict budget - I’d advise against ordering fish 😮‍💨

3. OPENING HOURS ⏰🤪

- You can have this for either lunch, dinner or SUPPER. Which is what makes this place awesome because the next time you’re thinking of a warm hearty bowl of porridge after clubbing, you know where to go! The restaurant opens till 4AM which is perfect for all you night life lovers 🥳😉

Would I go again? ✨

- hell yea!!!!!! The food was really awesome and I went there on a rainy day - which made it even better hehe

I’d definitely recommend trying it just because of the variety of dishes you can choose from!!! You’ll really be spoilt for choice HAHAH especially if you’re a foodie like I am!
