Nuclear Cardiology!

Happy Tuesday! Here’s a day in my life!

I work as a nuclear medicine technologist in a cardiology office. All day every day (or like 4 days a week) I do cardiac stress testing! I love working with my patients and getting to do something really cool!

Starting the day, I get all my quality control done, on all my instruments and my camera. I check in my doses and get injections started. Then comes imaging and stress testing (which can be done on the treadmill or using a medication for patients unable to exercise). More imaging after the stress test, then I process and had the pictures over to the cardiologist to read!

There’s so many aspects to nuclear medicine, and I decided to specialize in cardiology! Comment and let me know what you think about this lesser known modality of radiology!!
