SUPERNOVA | Hidden Gem in the East

Supernova is opened by the group behind Atlas Coffeehouse, Apollo Coffee Bar, Columbus Coffee Co, and others.

We headed down to Supernova as we’ve been hearing great things about the cafe! We did not make a reservation and had to wait for quite awhile before getting a table. It was a contemporary space with modern furniture — really aesthetic!

The menus vary according to the timing:

Brunch: 8am - 5pm

Lunch: 11am onwards

Dinner: 5pm - 10pm

We went during lunch, and here’s what we got:

🍝 Shoyu butter & garlic rigatoni ~ $18

Felt that the taste of this didn’t stand out too much to me, tasted kind of plain imo. Would wanna try the bacon & pumpkin one next time!!

🥩 Steak hash ~ $26.90

Topped up for a scrambled egg which was sooo good!!! The beef cubes were so tender and the potatoes added a nice texture as well!! Rate this an 8/10 ⭐️

🌱 Brussel sprouts ~ $14.50

I LOVEDDD this. It’s called the burnt brussel sprouts, and gave off a charred flavour which I really enjoyed. Am usually not a big fan of brussel sprouts due to the slimy texture, but i’m actually loving this!
