Yummy CBD food without breaking the bank!

If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate a friend’s birthday or simply have a gathering, Lecoq is the perfect place!

The food was AMAZING, with really affordable prices 🤑🤑🤑

The interior was spacious yet cosy, with modern furnishing. A perfect place to chill after a long day at school or work! 😎

Here’s what we ordered:

🍣 Sashimi (5 slices for $12)

We were greeted with THICKKK slices of sashimi and it was so fresh! Did not taste fishy at all!

🥚Century Egg Tofu ($6)

This was literally what the name suggests, century egg + tofu. Nothing special, but as a fan of century egg, I really enjoyed it.

🍜 Cold Truffle Somen with Hotate & Caviar ($16)

This dish was really really WOW! The truffle taste was strong, yet was not overpowering. The scallops were super fresh (according to my friends) as I am not a big fan of raw scallops!

🥩 Steak Scorched Rice ($28)

HEAR ME OUT. Don’t let the price of $28 deter you from ordering this dish. It was the star of the show ⭐️ The dish only consists of 2 elements — Cripsy garlic rice topped with 200g flame grilled beef, served on a sizzling hot plate. The rice was so flavorful, it could have honestly been a dish itself. The beef was grilled to perfection (We got medium rare!), and the portion was generous as well! Super yumz 😋😋

🍚 Truffle Beef Yakiniku ($18)

This dish came with grilled marbled beef and an onsen egg on top of japanese rice and drizzled with truffle oil. Not sure how, but everything came so well together!

🦐 Seafood Hokkien Mee ($16)

$16 for hokkien mee?!? This was served with prawns, squid, clams, egg, vermicelli, bean sprouts, chives, fried lard on top of yellow noodles. I don’t usually eat prawn noodles because I dislike prawns and yellow noodles, but I ate quite a fair bit of this dish! While it was pretty good, I’m not too sure if I would pay $16 for prawn noodles again 🤔

💭 Loved this place so much I can see myself revisiting it! The food was a 5/5 yet the prices were so affordable, considering it’s in the CBD. Would definitely come back for their cocktails which I saw many people having 🍸
