is The Everything Fair worth a visit? 👀💭

if you have not already seen on social media, BIG FARM is hosting a fair with vendors across many categories such as illustrations, crafts, lifestyle and fashion. ive gone down for the first weekend and here are my thoughts 👍🏼

about the stuff 🗃️

theres definitely a lot of things to look out for at this fair, over 50 vendors to visit. the fair is split into 3 levels and each one suits different interests. level 1 has more lifestyle/fashion stuff while level 3 features many booths of illustrators. you can get stuff from local creators such as GOODFELLAS and SUMMER SUMMIT which houses works from @zayrerboy and @jaeyelle (on ig) if you missed out on their previous popups you can snag their stuff here 🤩

about the space 🎨

located at selegie arts centre just opposite SOTA, i would say that its relatively easy to get there. however when you get there its a different story. you'll probably be greeted by a snaking queue, be prepared to stand in line for at least 2 hours on a crowded day. in the building itself, the booths are really crammed next to each other, the walkway accommodates one person and it can get quite stuffy. the ceiling of each floor is pretty low too so if you get claustrophobic, i wouldnt recommend visiting

with all these said, i still think its an interesting experience as you get to shop for various knick knacks all under one (very low) roof. if youre gonna brave all these conditions, do remember to bring a portable fan, wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella in case it pours. you can find out more info about the next weekend (10-11 june) on ig @bigfarmfair. have fun 🥳
