Relaxed Hair Sins

I always get asked how I’m able to keep my hair full & healthy looking with a relaxer. These are some things that I avoid:

Ponytails/high manipulation styles - anything that involves me pulling my hair back too tight and too often is a hard no. Relaxed hair is too fragile for that.

Moisture - I soak my hair in oil once a week before I wash it and this has been a major factor in adding moisture back to my hair. I also use a treatment every time I wash to make sure it’s extra conditioned.

Protecting at Night - a silk pillow case is not enough. I said it. Your hair can still get so tangled. My favorite method is pin curls. It give me volume and stays intact all night…& that’s saying something because I sleep wild 😂
