Is Singapore’s music industry bad or are we just oblivious? I’d like to think it’s the latter.

I’ve heard of some local bands actually doing well in the past, like in the 60s. But they probably didn’t last too long or they weren’t remembered because there wasn’t Spotify or social media back then.

One of which is The Quests, who were based in Queenstown of Singapore. 🇸🇬

Home Grooves is an exhibition to commemorate (?) our local music industry from the 60s to present through archival photographs and memorabilia such as musical instruments, albums and costumes. 🎸

Be it if you love music or not, this exhibition is interesting cos of the vintage stuffs from the past!

Like it’s cool not just because it’s vintage, but for instance, the artwork on vinyl records really screams 60s artwork which you wont see in albums today. There’s just a different style of doing things back then, like designing an album cover. 🎶🎤

And there’s also pictures of the 3 worlds in Singapore — New World, Great World and Happy World. These 3 worlds contributed deeply in our local entertainment scene and most of them are even commemorates in some way or another today.
