My Michelin Star Experience @Candlenut Dempsey

Just had the most fabulous evening at Candlenut Dempsey! ✨ So grateful to have been invited to this exclusive private event organized by Opus Prudential—feeling proud to qualify as a Private Wealth Consultant! 🌟

Candlenut, a Michelin-starred restaurant, really brought their A-game with this Peranakan-inspired menu. Every dish hit and I would definitely come back.😍

Here’s my take on the dishes:

1️⃣ Hokkaido Scallop Masak Lemak:

OMG, this was an absolute winner! The scallops were so fresh, and the spiced coconut broth was creamy and rich. Definitely a 5/5! 💛💛

2️⃣ Bakwan Kepiting Soup:

This soup was so comforting, like a warm hug in a bowl. The stuffed zucchini flower was a nice surprise, and the flavor was just right. Giving this a 4/5. 💯💯

3️⃣ Ikan Chuan Chuan:

Loved the combination of codfish and fermented soy bean sauce. It was flavorful and unique. I’d rate it 4/5. 💛

4️⃣ S.O.S Buah Keluak Beef Stew:

This dish was intense and hearty, with deep flavors that really hit the spot. Perfectly tender beef and that buah keluak—wow. Giving it a solid 5/5. 🫶💋

5️⃣ Candlenut’s Chendol:

Ended the meal with a refreshing and sweet chendol. It wasn’t overly sweet, which was just how I like it. 4/5. 💛

✨✨Special Touch:

I even received a beautifully crafted tingkat with homemade Nyonya Kueh to take home, which was an absolute treat! 💯💯
