Deetjen’s Big Sur review

There aren’t a ton of places to stay in Big Sur, and I found it hard to find a mid-range price point. You can rough it in the outdoors by booking a campground, or you can stay in one of the very expensive elite resorts like Alila Ventana Big Sur … but when I found Deetjen’s Big Sur Inn, I knew it was the perfect fit for what I was looking for:

🌳 On the edge of a redwood forest, overlooking the ocean, and situated beside a waterfall that splashes into a creek

🛌 Each room is entirely unique, and they’re all incredibly cozy! We stayed in the Castro Canyon.

🥞 Their award-winning restaurant is a must-visit for brunch or dinner as well, which feels quirky and cozy by candlelight
