Orange wine shop in NYC

When summer rolls around, I never quite know what to drink. I’ve always been a big fan of red wine with dinner, but in the warm weather it feels too heavy –never been a huge white wine or rose girl either. But recently I’ve been really loving orange wine!

My local wine shops didn’t have a great selection or great recommendations, so when I heard about Orange Glou in the Lower East Side I knew I had to give it a try.

The shop itself is very aesthetically pleasing, lots of orange décor (obviously) but their knowledge of orange wine is what I’d keep coming back for.

I came in wanting to get a gift for my friend, who has tried & liked a few orange wines but doesn’t like them too funky. They suggested the perfect two options (one a higher price point, one lower), and I ended up getting the higher price point ~$40 bottle.
