I hosted a conversations event! 🗣️

I’m a yapper. I love love love talking to people about life, growing up and everything under the sun.

When this financial literacy interest group from school got handed over to me, I took the chance to revamp the whole programme: from lessons and lectures to conversations!

I firmly believe that personal finance is more personal than finance ✨ so the focus has shifted from teaching financial concepts to talking about our experiences, hopes and dreams, how we intend to get there.

From shared experiences with one another, we get to see things from different perspectives, learn a thing or two and also share what we learnt.

Here’s what I learnt:

- how to make a card game LOL. Eh for real, I put a lot of effort in my conversations card game ok.

- enjoying the conversations and let people talk abt how they feel. Sometimes people just need to yap, they don’t need advice.

- it’s never too late to start anything - whether it’s the conversation to BTO, or investing in this current market, or even starting a side hustle while in school. The best time to start something might be months or years ago, the next best time is now!
