Ingredients You’ll Need

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined: Provides a tender, juicy texture that absorbs the honey garlic sauce beautifully.

8 oz smoked sausage, sliced: Adds a rich, savory flavor that complements the sweetness of the honey.

2 cups broccoli florets: Brings a fresh, green element and pairs perfectly with the other flavors.

3 tablespoons honey: The base of the sauce, adding sweetness and a beautiful caramelization.

3 cloves garlic, minced: Infuses the dish with a robust, aromatic flavor.

1/4 cup soy sauce: Adds saltiness and depth to the sauce.

1 tablespoon olive oil: For cooking the shrimp and sausage.

1 tablespoon unsalted butter: Adds richness and helps the sauce coat the ingredients evenly.

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional): For a hint of heat, adjust to taste.

Salt and pepper to taste: Essential for seasoning the dish.

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional): For a bright, tangy finish

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

Start by prepping all your ingredients. Peel and devein the shrimp, slice the sausage, and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince the garlic and set everything aside.

2. Cook the Sausage and Broccoli:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes until it starts to brown and become slightly crispy. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.

In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is bright green and just tender. Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set it aside with the sausage.

3. Cook the Shrimp:

In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp as they can become tough. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

4. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:

Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly and becomes glossy.

5. Combine and Serve:

Return the cooked sausage, broccoli, and shrimp to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated with the honey garlic sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat everything through.

If desired, finish the dish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a bright, tangy flavor.
