If you have not see my full guide + what shows I managed to catch in London, feel free to view it Here . This post is solely dedicated to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Play alone.

This was the highlight of my ENTIRE Europe trip, you have no idea how overwhelmed I felt after stepping out of the theatre when Part 1 ended. It was nothing like I imagined and exceeded my high expectations. I've been wanting to watch this ever since news broke that they were starting a play. I've read the cursed child book back in my secondary school days and am so glad I was finally able to watch this in person. This is the 1 play I will be willing to watch AGAIN and sit through the whole 4h AGAIN because it was just that great. (Disclaimer: I am a Potterhead so this might be slightly biased)

Things to note:

⚡️You are required to book BOTH Part 1 and 2 (in the same day iirc) and each part is 2h+ long, it’s as if you are booking for 2 shows. 1 in an afternoon show with about 2h break before part 2 in the evening. So you have to book out 1 entire day for this. The afternoon show is at 2pm and will end by 4.30pm. The next show starts at 7pm. So there really isn't any time for you to fit in any itinerary for that day except in the morning.

⚡️It's a play not a musical... So don't expect song and dance but trust me when it's highly engaging because they really incorporate "magic tricks" that will really make you believe in magic.

⚡️You do not have to read the cursed child book to understand but it is a continuation of the 7 books. So it'll make more sense if you actually watched all 8 of the movies or have read the books because they do take reference from it. Ultimately, I still believe that it is highly enjoyable without being a potterhead but then again I am biased.

⚡️There is bag check and you're not allowed to bring in any food & drinks.

❗️❗️I sat in the balcony seats aka the furthest but also the cheapest (and the only ones that were available left). BUT PLEASE either opt for Dress Circle or Grand Circle aka the 2nd n 3rd levels to really get the best view and full experience. Not even the first floor, avoid the stalls though it's supposed to be the best. It's not, TRUST. I don't want to spoil any parts of the show but those 2 levels will do the show much more justice as compared to the 1st n 4th levels.

❣️please try to book 1-2 months in advance! The earlier the better!!

I have recommended all of my friends to watch this when their in London and none of them had anything negative to say. The only downside is that it probably takes up 1 entire day. But still, worth! Just spend the 2h break walking around the district.
