Things to know before going to Flashback Friday 📻

We went for Unfiltered presents: Flashback Friday event last month and here's a couple of things I think will be good for yall to know if you are planning to go to their next event! 🪩

🎶 MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS - Though the caption of the event post mentioned the artists that they are going play + High School Musical singalongs, those only make up like 25% of the entire night so we were quite disappointed. They played a lot of Kpop songs too, which ain't something we were promised..

🛋️ OPEN TABLE? DON'T - I don't think it's worth it to get a table cause it's just a single wooden table and a bunch of different chairs & sofas gathered in one corner somewhere looking like it was setup last minute, and you'll be standing up 90% of the time anyway. Even if you need to sit down for a bit, you can do so in the F&B area where they do have some tables & chairs for people to eat & drink.

🪙 BRING $1 COINS - ProjectorX's famous vintage film photobooth has been moved from the Golden Mile to Picturehouse at The Cathay, so if the Flashback Friday is hosted here do bring coins cause the results are going to be super cute and it's only $4. If you need to change cash to coins at the F&B cashier, you need to purchase something first, and this is given that they still have some coins (cause they didn't have any left when I went 😔) And if you really have to get something, get a cup of wasabi green beans $2, they're soooo good!

🍕GET. THEIR. PIZZA - Omg Idk how but their cheese pizza was amaaazing (or were we just drunk and everything tastes good) but really, look at that cheese pull! I forgot how much it was but I remember thinking that it's very reasonable & not pricey at all. Honestly, such a comfort food after hours of dancing to recharge your energy!

We defo had fun and will go again but will make sure we pre-gamed well cause last time we were dead sober when we came and had to get drinks at the bar before we could enjoy the party.. (but thankfully drinks by the glass weren't that expensive!) They're having another event on 5th May, check out their Instagram for tickets & updates! 🎟️
