I still find myself daydreaming about this ckt 🥲

During my cruise trip, we had the chance to alight at #penang for a couple of hours, and the only thing we wanted to do was to try Penang's famous #laksa & #charkwayteow ! So we Googled for recommendations and came across this place - and I think we somehow hit the jackpot 🤩

The stall is called the Penang Road Famous Laksa, which also sells char kway teow that received the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022 🏆 And we totally think they deserve it because their char kway teow is TO DIE FOR 😭 We ordered 2 portions (each about $3 only !!!), 1 of chicken egg and another of the duck egg. Though the chicken egg one is great, but nothing compares to the duck egg version.. it's somehow more savoury! 🤤 You can really taste the 'char', it's not the excessively sweet type, just a little sweet but it's mainly umami 💯

We also tried their Penang laksa, it's very different from Singaporean laksa - this one's more fresh & citrusy, but although sour foods are not my thing but I kinda enjoyed this! My friend even enjoyed this a little more than the ckt she said... so definitely worth a try too!👌🏻

Apparently this place is already quite famous cause we met some famous Malaysian youtuber couple dining and vlogging there as well (who was from our cruise actually but we didn't know that they're famous people! 😅)
