I tried a halal dim sum restaurant in JB! 🥟

As a non-muslim and someone who loves pork, I would usually avoid halal chinese places because I thought pork and lard are essential ingredients! However, during our day trip to JB, the restaurant we were supposed to go to was closed, and we saw this dim sum place nearby so we decided to give it a try! The place was empty but to be fair it was at 4pm, still we didn't expect much.

But we were proven wrong! Their dishes exceeded our expectations, they're actually quite nice for halal-standards I would say. Personally, I have 3 favourites from what we ordered:

🫶 Prawn Chee Cheong Fun - the sauce is sweet & savoury at the same time, the wrap is so soft & chewy, with the sambal and fried shallots it was *chef's kiss* 💯

🫶 Deep-fried Prawn Beancurd Roll - crispy, with enough flavourful prawn filling, pair it with the black sim sum sauce provided!

🫶 Durian Roll - it's filled with real durian flesh so to all durian lovers, this is a must try!!! the fried outer coat is super crispy and the inside is soft & sweet!

It's located near KSL mall, so location-wise it's pretty convenient. I would totally recommend for you to try this if you don't eat pork (either for religious reasons or preference) I hope all of you find this helpful! 🥰
