Here's your sign to go on a (free!) museum date 🏛🤎

Running out of ideas on where to go for satur-dates with your partner? Here's a fun, free and fuss-free date idea - explore the National Gallery! It may sound boring especially for people who are not into art at all, but it can actually be really fun and there's so much interesting stuff to see! 🤩

The gallery is free to enter for everyone, but to visit the exhibitions inside you will have to get a ticket (but I heard that for Singaporeans/PR it is 100% free, but you have to claim a ticket in the form of a sticker at the counter), which is $8-11 for foreign nationals (still very affordable!) 💸

We spent hours just strolling around the building, taking lotsa pictures together and of one another, and admiring all the artworks. We found so many great photospots for couple & individuals, here are a few spots you definitely need to look for! 📸

▪️ Supreme Court Terrace (Pic 1) it's a foyer built around the former Supreme Court's rotunda dome - makes for a really cool photo background

▪️ UOB Southeast Asia Gallery (Pic 2) checkered floors and pillars, capture the perfect symmetry for an aesthetic shot - and explore the art galleries, keep a lookout for my favourite piece from the whole museum: Forest Fire by Raden Saleh (Pic 5)

▪️ Upper Link Bridge (Pic 6) located on level 4, amazing architecture - what I call the perfect marriage between classic & modern design

I would recommend visitting when the sun is out because the sunlight from the glass ceilings will help provide better lighting, and wearing matching neutral colours outfit with your partner for better pics. And since it's fully indoors, this can definitely be the perfect date idea for rainy days! Hope you guys can have as much fun as we did~ 😌
