Hi everyone! Right now, there are less than a month for the one of biggest ACG event in Malaysia, Comic Fiesta so I want to share some useful tips for those who want to cosplay for first time at event. Attending the event as normie and cosplayer has different vibes as cosplaying at event will drain your energy more than being a normie at event so to make sure you will have your first experience cosplaying at event with blast, keep in your mind these tips! ✨
For first timer as cosplayer, I recommended to wear a comfortable costume that have lesser accesories. Since Comic Fiesta is one of biggest ACG event in Malaysia, you can imagine how sardine it will be. Wearing simple costume with lesser accesories will make your first experience as cosplayer at event better as you don't have to worry about missing accesories etc. If you have any plan to wear heavy accesories costume like Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail, you can cosplay it on second day so you can adapt yourself first the situation cosplaying at event. But keep in your mind about the risk of those accesories especially if your costume are high quality one.
Iron your costume so your cosplay looks more professional. Be careful ironing it and make sure the material of the costume is iron-able. 😂✨
Do not re-wear smelly costume and use deodorant. Please do not wear the same costume for both days especially if you are camping outside the hall. Deodorant is a must, no one want to smell the onion-ness. We still need our nose to smell in our daily life. 😢🍂
If your character wearing a high heels, bring slippers along with you since you will have sore feet for sure. If your cosplay wear boots, recommended to wear the socks inside to avoid the blisters on your feet.
If your cosplay have a weapon as a prop, make sure it didn't against the rules and not too big so people won't get hit by your prop and at the same time, your weapon saved from damaged.
