No work experience? It’s OKAY! Say this instead ⬇️

Hello gurlies! I know there’s many of you here that are still in uni and might graduate soon without working experience. But, in a job interview, you should NEVER tell your interviewer you don’t have work experience! Basically, you should show them that despite that…you CAN bring value to the company. ✅

So, if you’re asked about work experience in your interview…here’s what you should say instead:

✅ Acquired and developed various skills through events/student clubs in university.

Elaborate on the skills (eg: communication, marketing & PR, etc) and mention the parties you collaborate with in your events (eg: university management, external companies, etc)

✅ Successfully conducted internship at xx company

Elaborate on your internship experience; how you got the offer, your top 3 key learnings at the company and some challenges you faced there. This shows your experience & growth!

✅ Mention your final year project (FYP) or any other projects you’ve done

Showing that you’ve worked on a project successfully is important! Remember, handling a project (be it academic or not) equips you with many skills that can be used in the workforce.
