BEST STUDENT FOR PROGRAM IS ME?? 🤯🥹

Today, I wanted to share some good news! 🥳My convo is this weekend, and following that, I’ll be getting the best student for program award!🤯

I feel very happy and grateful that I got this chance, so this point will be on how I believe I got the award so that if you’re interested, you can do the things that I did and maybe become the best student for you uni too!💪✨

1) Increase or maintain your grades. 📚✅

The requirement for us to be even considered for awards is to have a good grade. Hence, with only the exception of 2 semesters, I have gotten dean’s list for the rest of my long semesters. I can make another post on how I studied and my habits for class that helped me to get good results too.💯

2) Join student clubs♣️

First of all, you need to join student clubs early on. For example, I joined the debate club in my university during my first year while my other friends only joined in the third year. So during that period of time, I became the secretary, and then proceeded to become the president of the club. 📂💪

This leads me to another tip which is to get committee (ajk) positions in student clubs when you can. 🎓Of course, try to be active as well so that you are able to be considered. While I was a part of the university club, me and my team organised workshops, supported and trained a team that we sent to a national competition and contributed to a fundraising program in university!

Also, do ensure you join a mix of clubs, like sports and academics to ensure that your contribution marks and in different categories of grading. 📖✅

3) Don't limit yourself to uni only🏫

Lastly, you cannot be satisfied with only the contributions within universities. 🙅Try to join other programs in the university’s name or represent the university directly in conferences, competitions and programs. This can be just as easily by putting down your university’s name in the ‘institution represented’ column. For example, I have joined 2 NGOs outside of university and contributed to volunteer work🎒, while attending and volunteering for conferences at national and international level. Other friends of mine have taken martial arts courses and exams throughout university and even language courses!🥋
