2023 Playlist Recap! ✅🎧

I love listening to music while working or while just doing errands. I like the vibe that each song sets to either put me in a good mood, to allow me to wallow in my feelings or to just make me feel confident and hot.🥰 Hence, I’m doing a mini recap to pick the top 5 songs that I love for the second half of this year with some help from Youtube Music’s 2023 recap.👏✨

1) Greedy by Tate McRae💃💕

Soooo, this song I found through Sabrina Bahsoon, or Tube Girl on Tiktok. It was still a pre-release back then, but I immediately went to listen to it when it was released and it was a total bop. I had it on replay to dance to, to do work to, to study to, to play in the shower, all the jazz. It just has such a girl boss, confident, sexy feeling to it that I just can’t help playing, at all.

2) BTBT by B.I. 👟💙

I think I found this song a bit later than the rest, but still, I’m here, and I am a fan. I swear, when people say this song has its own fandom, I wholeheartedly agree. It is such a groovy song that is so slick and sexy again with the sultry voices. I especially love watching the dance version of the MV because it has such amazing dancers featured in the video. The choreography also elevates the entire song because of how well made it is.

3) Shooting Star by XG🌟💜

My introduction to XG and their songs. I originally thought they were a kpop group at first, but it was no surprise their company was Avex Japan. Avex overall has underrated songs that I love. To prove my point, listen to the entire soundtrack for Paradox Live. Their hip hop songs are top notch. I feel like the girls have such raw stage presence as well, so it is fun to watch their dance practices and choreo too. This song is overall catchy and not that hype, but uplifting still, which is nice if you’re winding down but still in the mood for a positive bop.

4) DAMELO by DOLLA🔥💋

This has to be on the list for me for this year. I feel like I use this word a lot, and you can already see from my song choices that I like music you can dance to. DAMELO is such a song where the moves are groovy and feminine and sexy. I enjoy the dance practice overall too and I had it on replay for quite a bit to see our girls perform. I really want to watch them in person one day, maybe next year if I manage to schedule out an appropriate time to.

5) Sickick - Obsessed (Mariah Carey x Mario Winans Remix) 👯🔥

I have lost count of the times I have danced to this song haha. It is such a catchy one that makes your whole body want to move and makes you feel like an absolute diva. I especially love the synth sounds and the added beats to the background. I forgot how I found this song exactly, but I believe it was via Tiktok, which would make sense because the song sounds like it went viral there. If I want to feel like I’m partying in my room, this song sets the vibe immediately.

With that being said, I listen to a lot of songs, and a lot of good ones too, so it’s hard to pick and choose my favourites. 😭 However, these are five that would never go wrong for me in general. I hope that if you’re looking for new songs, you give these a listen!👌✨
