A Day in My Life: Spending Time With Parents👫🏡

Today, my parents decided to bring me out on some errands to Parit Buntar. Mainly to buy baju kurung for me haha cause I need some to wear during practical teaching. 🛒Honestly, when in doubt of what to wear to school for teaching, choose baju kurung, but the loose cuts, not the kurung moden. If you go with kurung moden, make sure it’s not too tight. 👍

Back from the ramblings, we start our day with a second breakfast haha. If you are familiar with Indian food, you may recognize what I’m having, which is Idli. It is by far one of my favourite things to eat in Indian cuisine.😋 The texture is like biting into a fluffy, soft, warm cloud, and serves as an alternative to rice if you get tired of it. My mother also got some dried anchovies at the shops nearby.

I kind of also got a lecture over something I told them, but yeah, parents. What can you do about it, right? So let’s just be realistic, it was bound to happen in one of my posts. 😅🤣

Next, I got my first pair of baju kurung, which was a kurung kedah with embroidery at one of the shops my mom’s friend recommended. I prefer to keep it a secret for now hehe, I promise my lemon8 peeps will see it in due time! 😉✨

After that, my mom was directed to a bazaar called Bazaar Kemboja where my sister bought baju kurung before as well. It was an interesting place that I marvelled at. The size of the bazaar was decent and hosted a lot of stalls, each with their own variety of kurungs and bajus. 😍 It was also very airy since it was an open air market as well! I got two more baju kurung here. One modern, but had a loose cutting; the other also moden as well haha. Again, baju kurung reveal in due time!✨

Following that, we headed to get lunch. My parents wanted to get some dishes from the economy rice stall as they haven’t cooked, but unfortunately, it was closed. 😅 We only managed to get some rojak at this famous rojak stall that was churning out so many orders. Then, we had to go back to the Indian stall we had breakfast at and bought some dishes for lunch. After that, we headed back home at around 12.00 as my mother had to get ready for work. 🏡
