🇰🇷 GANGNEUNG: Arte Museum

Want to take a day trip out of Seoul but no idea where to go? Gangneung is the best option, with many beaches and popular food, and also this museum!

Arte Museum has a few different branches but the one at Gangneung is the biggest!

It is an immersive media art exhibition, where there are many sections of nature, using your senses to feel and experience, with visual lights and sounds.

The exhibitions include the following — Waterfall, Beach, Sunset, Star, Wave, Flower and Garden.

It is really beautiful and we took really long taking pictures at every exhibition!! Would totally recommend you to spend some time there without taking photos or using your phone and immerse yourself in the senses they are trying to highlight.

It may be abit inaccessible but taxi is really cheap in Gangneung! We took taxi from the main bus terminal in Gangneung and it only cost us 4000 won!! Try to go earlier as we only went in the late afternoon and we had to rush through a few exhibitions due to lack of time. Most restaurants in Gangneung also close really early (~8pm) so try to leave the area by 6+ to make sure you have ample time for dinner!!
