Saying Bye to Furbabies

I know no one will see this…

I’m just writing it to cope. This dog has been my best friend since i was 5 years old. He’s not quite gone yet, but it’s bad. He won’t eat and im not with him to make it better or bring his spirits up.

To Nolan,

I love you more than words can describe. You’ve been there for me when I’ve needed you most, and bud, I feel like I’ve let you down. I can make the excuse that I was only a kid when we got you, but that’s not right. I hope you’ve enjoyed your life. I hate that we can’t communicate. You’re so innocent and have no way to communicate with the world around you. I hope you know I advocated for you to the best of my ability and that I really don’t know what the best decision is for you going forward. I pray you’re not in pain. I pray you’re not scared. I pray that you know how loved you are and how much you mean to me. 🪽

I’m so upset. I know it sounds dumb but I don’t experience this feeling with human loss. It’s so messed up, I know. If anyone does see this, please pray for us and comment ways you cope with loss.
