First of all, this is a very long overdue as i completed my PRCP back in Feb 2024!
To start off, i was from the NT stream as i didn’t do well for my PSLE. Hence why i ended up in ITE after my N level
I did Nursing in ITE for 2 years (2019-2021), to be honest it was the best time of my life. I know a lot of people had stigma about ITE. But it was truly the best one ever. I was doing well and was enjoying coming to school to seeing my teachers and friends. Everyone helped one another and guided one another.
So after i graduated in ITE, i managed to go poly with only 2.5 years which is pretty normal for nursing to either go in with 2.5 years or 2 years. So i had about 10 months of break while waiting for poly to start.
I got into Ngee Ann poly. While waiting for poly to start, i was doing Locum EN for that 10 months. Covid hit so they were looking for nurses. Pay was good, everything was good.
Then poly started….. personally i had a cultural shock because everything you are on your own. If I didn’t understand anything i had to ask help from friends. Honestly i didn’t really enjoyed my poly life. It was merely just to complete, not remod, and just to get that diploma cert.
5 years later, after all the stress and struggles, i am finally graduting in 2 weeks time. And will be starting my full time job. I lowkey wished i had applied for uni but the fees were crazy 💔💔💔💔
5 years of nursing really had the best out of me. It was indeed a journey and im glad i made this far despite a longer route n time then other people.
