$2.8/slice avocado toast with a view 🌅

was craving for some avocado toast last night, and found cafes serving it at $17 💸 but i woke up this morning not feeling like travelling out of the north 🤣

so i googled for cafes in the north, and we stumbled upon Slow Bakes, located in tzu chi humanistic youth centre. at just $2.80 a slice, i think it is a steal 🤤

what we got:

big breakfast set ($19)

4 slices toast with spread, 4 eggs, 2 drinks.

we chose avocado spread + kaya butter spread on pumpkin toast and tumeric & sweet potato toast

the toasts had a nice crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside. they generously spread avocado on top of the toast, but we felt it could do with more salt.

not complaining, it's a nice breakfast with a nice view at an affordable price ✨️ would come back here again to try other toasts and spreads when they are available.

we came a little late hence many toasts such as sourdough were unavailable.

the weather is really warm nowadays and the bus interval is every 20-30 mins from khatib/yishun, so do check bus apps for bus arrival timings before making your way down.
