Nope I'm NOT kidding. Disneyland make up is REALLY a thing in China! When you go onto Chinese social media apps like 小红书 RED, you see a lot of MUA doing Disneyland make up. You can choose to do your make up literally outside the doorstep of Disneyland! That's the most affordable method, and you can even get your make up done from only S$30+ onwards! It's INSANE. If you're okay with sitting outdoors to do your make up, I highly recommend you give it a try! Especially if it's in the cooler months like spring/autumn, why not?! It's soooo affordable, plus you get to save the hassle of not having to do your own make up 🤭

You can even rent Disney clothings to wear at the park! Lots of the park-goers love donning cute outfits, but don't want to spend money to buy an outfit just for the park. Totally relatable, in this economy... So you can easily rent an outfit! Certain accounts can do it all – make up + hair braiding + outfit rentals! If you're interested, trying checking out "迪士尼妆造" on 小红书 RED or Taobao!

I didn't wanna sit out in the crazy summer heat while doing my make up, I highly suspect the make up might melt off while it's being put on my face 🙃 so I decided to get the MUA to come to my hotel instead! I had to pay for her taxi (Didi) fee, which is not too expensive in China. But because I set my appointment at an UNGODLY time, at 6am, I had to pay an extra fee of 50 RMB (~S$9.50) since it's before her working hours. Fair enough, 6am is a crazy early time to start work 😭 As with all appointments, I had to pay a deposit to confirm my appointment, hers being 50 RMB (~S$9.50).

She was extremely punctual, friendly and polite! She arrived at my hotel door at 6am on the DOT, not even kidding. The whole make up + hair braiding process took about 1 hour 15 mins, which is pretty quick I'd say! And my make up turned out SO amazing! When she handed me the mirror after she was done, I let out an influencer-gasp omg it was EMBARASSING... I was so thankful I didn't turn out like my hanfu photoshoot make up 🗿 I was telling her about how that make up lowkey scarred me, and she was like yeahhhhh the hanfu make up tends to be like that for some reason... 💀

After we were fully done, I paid her the balance and she was on her merry way! Luckily for me, it was a rainy day so it wasn't too hot. But it also means it wasn't theeee best day to test the longevity of the make up! Regardless, this make up lasted me from 07:15 all the wayyyy to 22:41. My lighting isn't amazing, but you can see that the make up looks 90% intact! My eye look, nose contour, and brows were all 100% visible with no fading. Foundation did NOT break down AT ALL, even in my oily zones! I was so sad that I couldn't pack her into my luggage and bring her home with me...

Sadly I didn't get to see what products she used for my base, because it was truly MAGICAL. I have another appointment with her next month so hopefully I get to peek at some items 👀 She does all types of make up, not just for Disneyland! I'm not sponsored by her, but I was so impressed by her make up that I feel the need to promote her 😭 Plus, her fees are super affordable, especially if you don't need to pay for the same add-ons like I did. Please please hit her up if you ever do need a MUA in Shanghai, maybe for Disneyland?? 🤭 I really wish I could pack her up and take her back to Singapore, I miss her 😭

Total damage done 💸

Base fare: 188 RMB (~S$35.50)

Early appointment fee: 50 RMB (~S$9.50)

Taxi fee: 100 RMB (~S$18.90)

Total make up cost: 338 RMB (~S$63.80)
