I definitely recommend you going to Cartagena, It’s a city on the coast of Colombia. Cartagena, also known as Cartagena de Indias, it’s a beautiful city that offers a unique mix of history, culture, and natural beauty. It’s also my favorite city in Colombia 🥰

🏛️One of the main attractions in Cartagena is the historic walled city (Ciudad amurallada), The walled city is a small “city” of narrow streets, colorful colonial buildings, and beautiful architecture. It's a popular tourist destination and a great place to explore on foot, bike or scooter with a lot of sea food restaurants, rooftops, shops and bars.

🏰 Another place you have to visit while in Cartagena is the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, located on a hill overlooking the city. The fortress was built by the Spanish to protect the city from pirate attacks, you can go and hire an English or Spanish guide that will walk with you and tell you the history about the castle and Cartagena. (I loved it)

🏝️ Cartagena is also famous for its beaches, with some of the most popular being Playa Blanca, Bocagrande, and Isla de Barú. Barú island is my favorite, it has crystal-clear waters, white sand and it’s great to do snorkeling, scuba diving, and surfing, you can get there by boat or by car.

Don’t forget in Cartagena the rainy season is from May-Nov, but the weather is always hot in that city ☀️
