My Vestiaire Collective order was >50% off rtp🥹

i’ve been eyeing the Coach Pillow Tabby for the LONGEST time - but it retails at $995 & I just couldn’t bear to spend that much on the bag :(

every time I go overseas I even hunt down the duty-free stores and premium outlets but they never carry the exact Pillow Tabby I wanted.

almost lost hope until I found the bag on Vestiaire Collective - which is a secondhand luxury shopping app! i’ve always seen lots of ads for this platform but never dared to shop on it because I was afraid there would be fakes or dupes. Here’s my experience as a complete luxury noob who decided to trust this platform for the first time 🥹

they put my mind at ease because there’s a whole authentication process they go through to verify if the bag is genuine or not - it’s only a $25 service fee so it was pretty worth it for me!

A lot of sellers are on Vestiaire & I managed to find a perfect condition bag listed at $420 (before taxes & fees)!! This was during the Vestiaire Days sale which is one of their biggest sitewide sales ever so the prices were already pretty low. But you could be a bit more aunty & negotiate with the seller (which was what I did) - I submitted an offer for $400 and she accepted!

With the taxes, fees, shipping & authentication - I even managed to use the first timer promo code “WELCOMEVC” for $30 off - the final price was about $465 SGD.

Still super worth & more than HALF PRICE off the original 🥹

We had a tiny hiccup during the authentication checks but it just made me feel like Vestiaire is super meticulous with this - because they emailed me during the inspection checks & told me that there was a SLIGHT ISSUE w my bag - and offered to refund me should I not want to proceed anymore because of the issue. I was so concerned because I thought I finally got my perfect bag but yet I gotta give it up - I checked the incident report & the results came out as “odour”…

I was so confused and abit worried because certain leathers have this really plasticky disgusting smell once you keep it in storage for too long. The Pillow Tabby is Nappa leather which might have this issue. But I really loved the bag so I decided to just screw it & maybe put some perfume tablets inside the bag LOL and I proceeded with the offer.

The bag came about a week later and honestly - there’s no odour. There isn’t even the chemical-ish new bag kinda smell, it’s pretty normal and my bag came with all the original packaging, dustbags, receipts and certs.

I’d say it’s really a good buy and the condition was perfect, pretty much like brand new. I’m just so happy I got it at literally half price off, and I absolutely love my bag!

Would definitely recommend using Vestiaire to get your luxury goods - and don’t scrimp on their authentication service! 😊
