Hey booklovers, this is the post for you! Here are 5 of my favorite bookstores in New York City. NYC is quite the intellctual city where people are always learning new things... so this list is just a tiny sampling.
1. Books Are Magic: Nestled in Brooklyn (two locations: Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights), this store is a charming indie gem hosting author readings, community engagement, and a very cute kids section.
2. McNally Jackson Books Seaport: Now with multiple locations in NYC, McNally Jackson is known for its handpicked selection, cozy atmosphere, and frequent author events.
3. The Corner Bookstore: On a picturesque block on the Upper East Side (East 93rd), this is a cozy corner for curated reads and personalized recommendations. I'm pretty sure it's in a movie or TV show too...
4.Albertine: When I discovered this gem, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. This is a serene haven in the Upper East Side, right next to Central Park. It specalizes in French literature.
5. Strand Book Store: The original store is a Union Square landmark, with "18 miles of books" and a legacy of rare finds and literary treasures. Many New Yorkers carry their Strand tote bags as a fashionable accessory with pride!
Happy reading!
Others that I love that are not included in the photos:
