banmian w the noodle pull of my dreams 🍜

If I could choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life, I’d say hands down BAN MIAN 😗 Finally tried Ng Kuan Chili Pan Mee at its Kovan outlet for brunch, though it is also a rather famous spot for supper-goers and night owls!

Signature Dry Ban Mian ($5.80) was topped with minced pork, fried garlic, shallots, ikan bilis, runny egg and of course, a spoonful of chilli. Mix them all up for a bowl of saucy goodness. The noodles had the perfect texture and soaked up the chilli and eggs so well. The chilli was too spicy for me and thankfully the creaminess of the runny yolk helped balance the spice out. If you’re a xiao-zhong la, you probably should ask for less chilli. Still super shioK nonetheless. Wished they were more generous with the portion of meat / toppings too.

Did not quite enjoy the soup served on the side, not as gao as I hoped for. So will not recommend getting the soup version. Dry one is good enough yea!
