why? because japan remains a cash-driven culture even though credit cards have become more widely accepted in Japan. moreover, Statista stated that through a survey, more than 90 percent of respondents named cash as their most-used payment method. that's why it's better for you to always carry sufficient Japanese cash with you. waktu aku pertama kali ke Jepang, aku agak culture shock soalnya di Indo biasa apa-apa pake kartu dan aku kebiasaan gabawa cash sama sekali. tapi di Jepang aku bawa 2 dompet karena pasti butuh coin purse guys! banyak banget coinnya..

2. IC cards are incredibly useful to have on your trip to Japan! why? IC cards are rechargeable prepaid travel cards that are used for travel on all kinds of public transportation within major cities and around regions! it’s so convenient to have an ic card, unless you plan on using the train or bus only once or twice on your whole trip. you can get an ic card in a train station or subway station and convenience store such as lawson, family mart, and 7/11. each ic card costs 500 yen. pertama kali ke Jepang, aku ga punya IC card karena bener-bener gapaham.. jadi selalu beli tiket ditiap station lol. menurutku, ic card bener-bener ngebantu!! apalagi kalo kalian pengen ngunjungin tempat-tempat yang perlu pake train or bus.

3. Google maps is your hero! why? is really essential to have a google maps app for travel in japan because the train stations in japan are pretty complicated for first-timers, and Google maps can give you detailed information from the names of the train, the time of departure and arrival, the stops and the transportation fee.
