national days in October & how to celebrate!

fun fact : October is my favorite month and it’s not because of Halloween, It’s actually because it is my birthday month!

In honor of it being my birthday month, and I thought to do another post about national holidays in the month.

There are a few more holidays that are not included in the picture above, but these are the ones that I am most excited for, and wanted to share with everyone :)

October 1 was international coffee day and for celebrating this day I think it’s best to just buy coffee. Unfortunately, Starbucks did not have a special but that’s kind of expected lol.

October 2 (a.k.a. today) is national name your car day! I just recently bought my car in the United States and it’s perfect timing because I have not yet picked out a name for my car. So if you or someone you know, doesn’t have a name for their car remind them that they should definitely do that today.

October 3 is mean girls day and if you are on TikTok I definitely recommend doing the TikTok sound that everyone does for mean girls on October 3 but if you are not on there and you would like to celebrate, just wear pink!💞

October 7 is frappe day and for this day I would probably go and get a frappe at Starbucks (hopefully they have a special this time)

October 12 is savings day and I included this because I saw it is important to be a grown-up and save some money this day lol

You can also try and not spend any money on this day if you would like to challenge yourself otherwise you can just count your savings or plan out your savings goals for the year.

October 16 is global cat day, and if you have any cats I would celebrate by letting them a hug the bed and giving them all the love and treats that they deserve!

if you don’t have a car, but you would still like to participate definitely go visit a friend with a cat or go to a cat café!

October 21 is celebration of the mind day and for this day, maybe just do a meditation or a journal entry if you haven’t done one in a while to just have some time away from electronics and all the technology that we bombard our brains with all the time.

October 25 is not only world pasta day and internationals artist day but it is also my birthday! So if you don’t like to go out to a restaurant to eat pasta or like being creative by painting or drawing, you can definitely buy a cake and eat it as it is my birthday!

October 26 is national pumpkins day and that is right before Halloween so it’s a great time to do some pumpkin carving in celebration of this national day!

obviously, we also have Halloween but since it is not a national day, it is not added onto the list!
