Having been to Bangkok more than 5 times in the recent years, I've definitely been to my fair share of night markets and here's a short list of my favourite ones β€οΈ
π ULTIMATE FAVOURITE: Liab Duan Night Market π
It's mainly a local night market, there were almost no tourists at all π€© The place was mostly locals and most of the vendors don't speak English, so make sure to have Google Translate ready and you may need some picture references to communicate π£οΈ
The night market is SO BIG, it is sectioned into 3 parts - food π, flea marketπ and regular shopping ποΈ
I mainly shopped around the flea market part and thrifted SO MANY amazing items. There were tons of vintagewknd-lookalikeβοΈ patchwork pants (~$15-$20) and you can try them out on the spot too (PRO TIP: measure your waist size in advance before going!
Food is also definitely cheaper there than other night markets such as Jodd Fairs, for example the beef noodles are like 1/2 the price iirc π€

π How to get there: it's not really accessible by trainπ or busπ at all, you will need to take a Grab but it's def worth it
β° Opening hours: 5- 1am, but usually only starts being busy around 6.30pm onwards!
A few other night markets that I enjoyed are:
- Jodd Fairs: more expensive and more touristy, still have cute thrift clothes and is very accessible within the city
- Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin Train Night Market: really quite big, a lot of vintage clothing, can spend more than 3 hours there, not very accessible, still have quite a lot of locals, closes relatively early due to lack of tourists, cheap food as well! Not my favourite because a lot of shops closed down after COVID π’
- Chatuchak night market: extends into the night even when the day market closes, quite accessible
