Did you know that if you wear high heels, you are more prone to have cracked heels just because the skin at your heel is exposed and allows callus and dry skin to form. This is why you need to make sure your heels stay hydrated and soft like a baby’s bum.

I learned this self care routine from my pedicurist who tells me that my heels are so dry. It’s gotten to the point where the skin starts to crack. Here is a quick self foot care routine that you can do at home in under 30 minutes.

Prepping your skin is the most important part of this. In order to do this, you need to soak your feet for about 10 minutes in HOT water. Don’t soak your feet in plain water though, add some bath salt! This process will help to soften up your skin to make the next step easier.

You guessed it, the next step is to scrub the dead skin away! I bought this foot scrubber from daiso for only $2. I don’t really recommend the metal one because it rusts easily. There are other options like stone or plastic that you can go for. Scrub your feet till your dead skin is removed. After which, dry your feet with a clean towel.

Last but not least, never forget this step - MOISTURISE your feet. This will help to keep your skin hydrated and not raw after all that scrubbing. I’ve been doing this for the last few weeks and have seen tremendous improvement in my heels. I hope you try this out and let me know if it works for you!!
