The ordinary glycolic acid | 3 ways to use it!

This hyped up product is apparently a holy grail to skincare. The ordinary glycolic acid 7% toning solution is about 240ml and retails at $12.50. It’s usually known as an exfoliant for your skin and helps to combat the dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull, connected or even have texture issues. Glycolic acid claims to help improve your skin complexion by making it more refine, glowy, smooth and dewy.

It’s usually used AFTER cleansing at NIGHT or in the EVENING. where you MUST use a cotton pad with the formula and start dabbing it into your skin, avoiding eye area. Because it is an acid, it will have a burning sensation and also sting if you have any open wounds, cuts or even pimples so please take precaution.

There are 3 ways I use glycolic acid for maximum satisfaction to make it worth my money

1. Obviously as a toner, incorporating it into my skincare routine

2. Armpit as an acid deodorant to remove any odour. This kills the smell of unpleasant smelly underarms as it disrupts bacteria growth

3. This one is not very common but I actually use it at areas with rough and dark skin like my toes. I use the acid to help moisturise my toes and do this about once every 3 days

Glycolic acid may be scary to use at first because of its stinging lingering feeling after application but it has so many other useful purposes. Just be sure to do skin patch tests to ensure that your skin is comfortable with using such a harsh product and to also build up the amount you use by starting with little amounts.
