Here’s a few things you NEED to do during your rest days 😴 It’s not a must but definitely would help with your muscle recovery etc!

1. Rest and stretch

Remember to really rest during your off days and stretch out those muscles! Little by little is fine as well but if you have a whole routine for a cool down, stick to it! Your muscles will thank you one day πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

2. Have proper meals

Previously I would sometimes have the mindset that eating 1 meal a day was a β€˜flex’, i’m pretty sure something wasn’t right there but after having 3 proper meals everyday, i feel so much happier (because i get to eat!!) and i got a lot healthier as well! My muscles are also growing so much better as compared to before!

3. Research * ADDITIONAL *

If you’re a gym rookie like me, rest days are best for you to plan out your gym routine for the next time you hit the gym! Organise workouts based on legs, arms, back etc so the next time you head to the gym, you don’t waste time thinking what to do next!

These are the things I personally do during my rest days, and it can differ from your own so you do you! Just remember the very basic of stretching and eating proper meals!!
