Since i’ve had both at different point in my life, thought i should share my thoughts to everyone! I will try my best to include prices for the studios and gym memberships but pls do your own research if you’re interested in any!!

1. Gym Memberships

Here are some pros and cons for a gym membership:

PROS: ✅

- Convenience

- Freedom

- Going at your own pace

- Cheap alternatives

CONS: ❌

- No one to help you

- Do your own research

- No motivation

- No one to push you (unless you gym with your friends)

Personally for me, as I was gymming alone, I was constantly lost. Only doing the same 5 exercises every time i went to the gym. I had to do my own research and search it up on youtube what exercises to do etc and it can get kinda tedious, because i’m just lazy. Towards the end i also had no motivation so i was paying $95/month (anytime fitness) for 1 entry every month….

So if you’re someone who has knowledge on what to do and you have the self motivation to push yourself to go to the gym often, then i would suggest getting gym memberships!

Here are just a few: (prices may vary so do approach the gym to get the right price!)

1. Anytime fitness - $90/month

2. Activesg - $30/month

3. Fitness First - $205/month

4. Safra Energy One - $117.70/month

5. Gymmbox - $118.80/month

6. Denis Gym - $770/year

2. Fitness classes

PROS: ✅

- Guided workout

- Planned workout

- Balance of both cardio & strength

- Works your whole body

- Brainless

- Working out in groups

CONS: ❌

- Not that convenient yet

- Expensive option

- Working out in groups (if you prefer to workout alone, this isn’t the one for you)

- You can’t really choose what you want and don’t want to do

I signed BFT recently and it really is different from getting a gym membership. They have planned workouts for you so you just have to show up and follow them, even warm up and cool downs are done by them! So honestly, super brainless! If you’re someone who doesn’t just want to do cardio on a treadmill, this is also for you. Their cardio classes consist of so many other exercises that works your body from head to toe. They also have strength class for you to lift weights 💪🏼 (Other fitness studios might not have it, i’m only talking about at BFT!)

Fitness Studios:

1. BFT - $60/week

2. F45 - $89/week

3. Grityard - $290/month (they also have it in sessions. $30/day)

4. Barry’s Bootcamp - $45/class / $185/5 class (they have other options as well)

5. Ground Zero - $215/ 5 class (spin class)

6. Crucycle - $46/ class

I’ve included spin studios for those who are into spin classes but those are generally just cardio sessions and no strength (if im not mistaken)

Do let me know if this helps! And let me know which do you prefer? Because I definitely prefer fitness studios over gym, as of right now!
