today’s blog post is for all my babes that love to read 👩🏾‍🏫 & or need some new book recommendations.

the book in the photo is titled Hood Feminism written by Mikki Kendall! this book is a great read, and i’m just over halfway finished with the book 📚🩷. hood feminism is written from a black feminist perspective and this book critiques aspects of the feminist movement, and suggests points as to how the feminist movement could be more inclusive 🤝🏾, and advocate for everyone. Kendall includes her personal experiences, and really serves as a voice for Black and minority women! 💕

i myself study black women, and i utilize black feminism for my independent black art research and for black women studies. i think more people interested in social sciences, sociology, and humanities should familiarize themselves with black feminism 🤎✨!
