03: Rocking classic sulam top for Raya!

If you love a classic look for raya, this post is specially dedicated for you because today, im gonna share with you guys how i elevate my classic sulam top for raya.

What is your go-to classic piece in your wardrobe? For me, it’s this sulam top from KALMHS. I love how it’s made from a breatheable fabric and the color that i got is dark brown.

If you havent include a classic piece in your wardrobe, here are some tips on what to get:

1. Pick the piece with the color that you really love. If you love pink, get it in a pink color. If you like it black, get it in a black color. Because this is the piece that you’ll regularly wear for special occasions with classic theme. For example kenduri, wedding and more.

2. Choose a plant-based fabric for example; cotton, rayon and linen. These sustainable fabrics have better quality and most importantly it just gets better everytime you wear it.

3. Makesure to pick a piece with timeless design. Extra point if it could also be styled with pants and skirt. More outfit looks for you!

KAIN SARONG

As seen on the photos, i chose floral pattern kain sarong with black based and hints of brown and white. You do not have to pair the sulam top with the exact color based as this might make your outfit turns dull. Best to have only a hint of the based color on the skirt.

HIJAB

Another sulam touch on the outfit won’t kill right? So, i added a sulam shawl to complete the whole classic look. The black sulam shawl match with my black kain sarong and it looks cute too!

FOOTWEAR

For a footwear, i chose an opened toe heel from Charles & Keith. This heel has always been my favourite as it’s a slide on style, no straps. Easy to wear and to take em off.

HANDBAG

To brighten up my raya look, i added a white shoulder bag from BONIA. Do i have to describe how gorgeous this bag is? Probably no because as you can see in the pictures, it’s hella gorgeous. So in love, so obsessed. For a classic look, choose a minimal design for the accesories as we do not want our outfit to look off. Accesories are supposed to complement our outfit.

And that’s how i elevate a classic sulam top.
