If you're visiting perth, here is a half day itinerary that we did. We wanted to free roam and pop into a nice cafe we see and we came across community which is a cafe along elizabeth quay. Im actually super happy with this find cause the FOOD WAS YUMMY & the price was reasonable too!

▪️ Community @ Quay ▪️

📍18 The Esplanade, Perth WA 6000

I really enjoyed our breakfast at the community, I would say its not super pricey for Australia's standard. They offer the basics like eggs benny, avo smash etc. I had the 'Simply the best' which is only $18 for that big of a portion! and + on mushrooms on the sides.

After finishing our hearty breakfast we made our way towards kings park, there are 3 different ways you can get there for free. I'll note the difficulty level for each way so you can choose! (of course you can book an uber up or drive too)

▪️Kings Park & Botanic Garden▪️

📍How to get there:

🚌(Easy) TRANSPERTH — BLUE CAT

The easiest way to get to kings park is with transperth, they offer a free bus (hop on blue cat) from perth central station that takes you right up to the park so you avoid all the walking! They follow a route too so you can see where the closest bus stop is to get there! The buses are in 15mins interval.

⛰️(Medium) MOUNT STREET

The way we went to kings park is up the slope on mount street – I would say its about a 10-15mins up the slope (wear proper shoes!) I was walking with my docs! It's not super difficult, its definitely better than going up the stairs but it does get your heart rate up!

🚶🏽‍♀️(Hard) JACOBS LADDER

📍1 Cliff St, West Perth WA 6005, Australia

I would say the hardest way to get up to kings park is by Jacobs Ladder – which is an iconic stairs! Its about 242 step up, a lot of the locals would use this to workout and train. The view from above is so gorgeous, so if you're dress in sports wear and like a challenge definitely try jaccobs ladder 😉

🧡📝 What to do there?

There are lots of things to see at kings park. You can start with the war memorial & learn about the history, its about a 1.7KM stretch, and since it starts at the very entrance of the park its a great way to follow down to the other area.

The view from kings park is GORGEOUS & so spectacular, its definitely photoworthy so take lots of cute pictures!

There are also cafes and shops for you to grab a snack and drink. Do take note that the line is really long and you would have to wait approx like 10mins. After grabbing a drink to replenish ourself from the walk, we sat on the grassy area to lay down & just chill under the sun. Lots of people would be sat there having picnic too. We did not come prepared but I would recommend packing lunch and a mat to just sit out and enjoy your day!

If you walk further down you can visit the botanic gardens, the whole area of kings park spans across 400 hectare which is literally 60 hectare bigger than central park!!!! 😳🤯
