Let’s talk fanfic!

I feel like on ao3 there should be an extra tag that goes above explicit cuz this fic definitely deserves to be in that section 😭. I didn’t know how much I should’ve censored out of the little out-of-context screenshots I put, but I’ve seen a lady on here, bob out feeding her baby so I think I’m good (yes it was a little traumatic)

My opinion on the writing: 💛

I honestly don’t have any opinions on the writing, it wasn’t bad cuz I’ve definitely read worse, it’s just kind of a middle ground.

My opinion on the story: 💛

the story is just kinda pwp (corn without plot) and anything that has to do with the tag angst or fluff only comes into play around the last 2 chapters. If you haven’t watched all of Harry Potter then firstly I suggest you go and watch all of the movies and secondly what I’m about to say next is very much spoilers (for the last movie and this fic) so skip to the next pizza emoji.

🍕I honestly don’t have any problems with this story and I did enjoy reading it but one thing about this fic is at the end when Severus is fatally wounded and the female oc is trying to save him, it feels very out of story’s character for lack of better words, like it’s not explained as to why she just so happens to have had rare Phoenix tears and anti-venom potions on her at that moment, or how after she’s healed him he’s holding her close and trying to console her in her sad state, THEN he uses magic to move them to a safe place, like wasn’t he just really badly fatally wounded just a second ago💀. but by no means does this mean I hated it, not at all, in fact I was very on edge and stressed while reading and was pleased with the end results, logical or not💀. 🍕

My opinion on the smut: 💛

GIRLLL this fic had the most toe-curling smut, they really went the extra mile to make this as spicy as possible. Severus’s character in this fic is more of an assertive male dom, till like the 4th chapters then it switches to more of a, in very desperate need of his lover to keep him alive and stable, then at the end back to assertive Dom. just ngl I don’t understand how she wasn’t pregnant after the first chapter tbh 💀
