Neighbourhood bakery in PJ ✨

Finally visited one of the OG cafes - Universal bakehouse. And tbh besides their sourdough bread, I wasn’t really impressed 😢

First of all, seating is extremely limited so I guess it’s more of a takeaway cafe. And even if you are sat down, there are times when there’s wayyyy too many people lining up, it feels so packed 😢 Food-wise, their sourdough is pretty good. Simple, light and crispy, but for me, it lacked their sour taste that I kind of like. Their foccacia was okay. It’s around RM20 for an entire piece and you can ask them to pack the other half for you to bring home. The texture of the bread is soft so having it on its own won’t be too dry. Would have loved it even more if it came with any dipping like olive oil and vinegar. For most of the items, prices range from RM10-20, & for me, I felt like it wasn’t worth it because you are paying extra to have mediocre food that you normally can buy in bakeries on the go. And the taste wasn’t that amazing so…. Ya… left pretty disappointed ☹️
