Living in singapore has always been fast-paced. Everyone who graduates will work right after, usually without any breaks. I'm in my last year of poly, and I'm just so exhausted.

Coming from a single parent mid income family with 2 other siblings, I have had my fair share of struggles. Especially with funds. My mum has never provided allowance ever since sec 4 as I had started working part time. Since then, I have been independently earning my allowance throughout ite and poly.

But as I enter my final semester, I'm stuck with so many decisions. Most of my batch continued to work under their intern company, but because I was already working part-time, I couldn't. However, my part-time outlet closed, so I was left with 2 weeks to find another job for the holidays.

I did find a job under recommendation, but after a while, it felt too draining to even leave my bed and work. Maybe it's the number of shifts given, especially with my September being too packed for me to give a proper shift for the month. My friends and manager were shocked that I continued to work right after the internship and asked why I did I not take a break before working.

Maybe I should've taken a break. Now I'm regretting my decision to stay in this company. Not that there is anything wrong with the management or staff, but I just find it so hard to leave, although I worked for a month as the manager did not want to let me go. Maybe I would be happier if I had a break to process and plan my future after poly because, as of now, my plans are just rough outlines. I'm just praying on the possibility of entering uni.

Maybe the no and late replies for a transfer is a sign from God to take a break. Lol.
