GREAT NANYANG - BETTER THAN YAKUN?

Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe 大南洋

Today I went to the Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe to have brunch with my mum. We reached around 11+ and there was a long queue. However, we were lucky to get a seat almost immediately cause we didn't mind the outdoor seat.

Bolo Bun

💰 Price: $4.80 (add $3 for a set - 2 eggs & a drink)

The Bolo Bun was so good but sinful. The bun came out warm and toasty which went so well with the thick slab of butter.

Peanut Butter French Toast

💰 Price: $4.50 (add $3 for a set - 2 eggs & a drink)

The bread was very fluffy. There is a good balance between sweet and salty.

Chicken Berempah Leg

💰 Price: $8.90

The rice was very light and fluffy. The chicken was quite good and wasn't heavily coated with batter. The sambal was not bad. It was on the sweeter side and wasn't spicy. However, the portion of the chicken could be bigger.

Overall, I find the food pretty good. Although it was very crowded, the food came out very quickly and it was served hot. Do note that the prices are before GST. I would definitely be back again for the Bolo Bun and French Toast.
