movie reccs for the weekends! 🎬

i don't know about you guys, but i plan to stay in and catch some movies during the long weekend 🤩

here are some of my movie reccs available on netflix right now! ✨️

1) Along Came A Spider

this is a pretty old movie, but honestly i've never watched a Morgan Freeman movie that i didn't somewhat like 😌 this is an investigative, mild action movie about a veteran detective being pulled into an abduction case - something simple, easy to follow but still intriguing

2) Nobody

another action movie! (because those are my faves) about a seemingly normal, middle-aged family guy who *somewhat accidentally* got involved with the mafia

3) Den of Thieves

an action movie starring Gerard Butler 😌 one of my fave action movies revolving around bank robbery - definitely  for those who enjoy watching movies like "Now You See Me"

4) Salt

i just remember thinking Angelina Jolie was soooo cool when i first watched this. It is an action movie about how a CIA agent goes on the run after being accused of being a russian spy

5) Children of Men

Set in a dystopian world where humans cannot reproduce anymore, a miracle happens (a woman got pregnant) and this agent(?) ties to get her to safety. an interesting watch! got me in my feels at times (but definitely a serious vibes typa movie - a lil slow at first, but something different that i found interesting) not the kind of movie i usually gravitate towards, but pretty good!

6) The School for Good & Evil

something harry potter fans or fantasy readers would likely enjoy! a feel-good type of fantasy movie about 2 best friends from a small village, longing to leave their current mundane lives

7) Gods of Egypt

another Gerard Butler movie 😅 a really cool movie for those who love action & fantasy. the survival of mankind is at stake after the wrong person usurps the throne of Egypt (ok i'm trying to keep it to no spoilers here)

8) Troll

this movie was soooo interesting! it's Norwegian and is cleverly written based on folklore - definitely a good watch for action-fantasy people

9) Home

Just watched this the other day, and i don't know why i ever forgot about it 😬 such a sweet, feel-good movie (with Rihanna) and something you really can't go wrong with, if you enjoy your cute Dreamworks movies

10) Dilwale

sorry, i just have to end off this list unexpectedly - because this has been my favourite bollywood movie since i caught it in cinemas (cried the first time) but it's not actually a sad movie - the songs just hit the feels iygwim! i love the cinematography, the songs, the colours - all of it ✨️ it's a rom-com action movie!
