My Thoughts on our Michelin Star Dinner in Paris ⭐️

During our honeymoon in France, my husband and I had dinner at a Michelin star restaurant in Paris, Ōrtensia.

Going to a Michelin star restaurant had been on my bucket list for a while, and it was a really great thing to experience together.

Ōrtensia is the restaurant of Chef Teremitsu Saito. He combines Japanese and French dishes and flavors to create truly unique plates.

We had his Signature tasting menu which is a 7 course meal of his most renowned dishes.

The best way to describe our dining experience was like being in an art gallery, but for food. Every detail was highly curated and it was so interesting to see how each dish was plated and presented and how the meal developed with each course.

As an artist and a food lover, it was honestly so inspiring.

Since this was our first Michelin star meal, I didn’t really know what to expect. I definitely thought that it would be a sort of uppity environment. While it was fancy, the servers were so nice and we genuinely had a fun time enjoying the meal.

All to say, we aren’t frequenters of really nice restaurants but we didn’t feel out of place.

And since we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, we even got an adorable little cake to celebrate.
