Thinking about adding a third dog to the family

I’ve got a sweet 12-year-old Chihuahua who loves to chill and a 40-pound Australian Shepherd who’s always up for an adventure. I’m looking for a pup that’s small enough to pick up and cuddle but big enough to keep up with my Aussie on hikes and playtime in our fenced yard. I love training new tricks, so a little extra energy is welcome! I’m researching breeds now, but I’ll be checking the local shelters first to find the perfect match. Dogs are amazing, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
