Our DIY Spooky Tree Tutorial

This project was a LABOR OF LOVE. Wow, we hit some snags along the way as we learned what methods were best to accomplish what I had in mind, but I think it was so worth it. I was aiming for an installation that looked like trees from a haunted graveyard! Here's what you're going to need:

- Insulation foam spray

- Branches

- Plastic skulls

- Crows

- Pumpkins

- Wood stain

- Black spray paint

- Dried moss

- Hot glue

STEPS

1. Find branches on the side of the road

2. Cut the branches down to size and remove any excess twigs from the "trunk"

3. Secure the brach

4. Spray the insulation foam around the base of the branch and add the skulls in place

5. Allow foam to dry for at least 24 hours

6. Stain the faces of the skulls

7. Spray/paint the foam black

8. Spray the pumpkins black

9. Arrange pumpkins around the base to weigh it down

10. Use your hot glue to secure crows to the branches and/or pumpkins

11. Add in the dried moss to fill in any sparse areas
